Fencing and Gate Installation

Boundaries that stay where you put them.

Closeboard, panel, post and rail and estate fencing, and the gates that go in them, set properly and built to stand up to the weather and the ground.

What we do

Most fence failures are the posts.

A fence is only as good as what holds it up. We dig proper post holes, concrete where the ground needs it, and set line and level before anything is fixed.

Which fence suits you depends on the boundary: privacy, stock, exposure and what is already there. We will say if the cheaper option is the right one.

Common questions

Questions we get about fencing and gates.

Timber or concrete posts?

Concrete lasts longer and is the usual answer on exposed or wet ground. Timber looks better and suits shorter, sheltered runs. We will tell you which the boundary actually needs.

Do you take the old fence away?

Yes. Removal and disposal are included in the quote unless you would rather keep the material.

Can you match an existing fence?

Usually. Bring us a photo or let us look at it. Older profiles are sometimes discontinued, in which case we will show you the closest match before starting.

How long does a boundary take?

A typical domestic run is one to three days depending on length, access and ground. Agricultural runs are quoted by the metre.

Can you hang a gate in an existing fence?

Usually. The posts either side carry the gate, so we check those first and replace them if they will not hold it. A gate on a weak post drops within a season.

How quickly will I hear back?

We reply to enquiries the same working day. A site visit is usually within the same week. We look at the property before quoting anything.
